Depot Doll Club was established in the year 2000. Inspired by elinor peace bailey in a workshop elinor taught at Fabric Depot, the group decided to meet monthly. Elinor has been an inspiration since the beginning and continues to push us to new limits. |
Depot Doll members have had their dolls donated to silent auctions benefiting charities, have had photos of their dolls published in doll related publications and have won awards in statewide challenges such as the Hoffman Challenge and Treasures of the Gypsy. Some members market their own original patterns and one was asked to create a doll for Patti Culea's book "Creative Cloth Doll Couture". The things all of our members have in common are our love of fiber, beads and a willingness to share our knowledge.
The Fairy House in the photograph was created in 2008 by Linda Fraser, Carol Olson, Dave Olson, and elinor in elinor's back yard. Elinor can now look out her studio window at this color house for inspiration and flights of fancy.
